SPD reports 12-26-16
Lindsey M. Emery, 27, of La Monte was charged with FTA-Felony and FTA-Misdemanor, Driving While Revoked and Felony Resisting Arrest. His bond was $12,500. Stephen E. Lindsey, Jr., 42, of Sedalia, was charged with Felony Resisting Arrest, Possession of Meth, Introduction of Contraband into a jail facility, and Felony Tampering with Physical Evidence. His bond was $50,000. Both remained in the Pettis County Jail at the time of the report.

Harvard Townsend, 59, was arrested and charged with 3rd degree Assault after Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of S. Grand at 2:42 a.m. Saturday. The victim said that Townsend hit her during an argument. She had minor injuries, but refused medical treatment. Townsend was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending state charges.

Tyler Kenneth Dake, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested at Pettis and Grand for DWI-persistent offender, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a valid license, & unlawful possession of a concealable weapon, and a traffic stop on a Chevy for a signal light violation at Main and Grand at 11:41 p.m. Saturday. The driver was found to be impaired by drugs & alcohol. Dake was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $10,000 bond, cash or surety, with a court date to be announced.

A woman reported that her purse was stolen from her unlocked truck while parked at Orscheln's, 2424 S. Limit on Friday afternoon. The total value contained in the purse amounted to $1,823. There are no suspects.

Kristopher D. Yonker, of Midwest Outdoor, reported that 2 packages were stolen from his front porch in the 2400 block of W. 1st Street on Saturday morning. The packages were valued at $600. There are no suspects.

Kohl's, 4300 Wisconsin, reported that 2 ppl stole $2,000 of merchandise from the store on Tuesday afternoon. Store security made contact with them as they left and was able to recover some of the merchandise, but they drove off with the rest of it.

Police took an assault report that occurred at the Smith-Cotton Junior High parking lot, 312 E. Broadway, at 12:26 a.m. Thursday. The victim said he was hit eight times and kicked. There are two suspects in the case. Investigation continues.

Carol N. Justus, 27, Windsor, was arrested at the Sedalia Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway, for 1st degree Burglary and Shoplifting after she allegedly stole $74 of merchandise from the store on Friday afternoon. Justus was transported to the Pettis County Jail.
