Sedalia Police crime reports 12-12-18

Sedalia Police arrested 31-year-old Dakota Allen Gregg of Sedalia for driving while revoked after a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign at 7th and Montgomery just before 8 p.m. Friday night. Gregg was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail,where he was booked and released.

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 3rd and Ohio just before 7 p.m. Friday night. The driver, 24-year-old Schyler A. Ray of Pettis County, was wanted on a Sedalia warrant, a Pettis County warrant and a Morgan County warrant. Ray was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a total bond amount of $501.50. He now has a Jan. 23 court date on the Municipal charge.

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a gold Buick for failure to signal and almost collide with an 18-wheeler as the suspect vehicle entered US 65 from Rush Hour at 5:40 p.m. Friday afternoon. A consent to search yielded a marijuana cigarette in the front seat of the vehicle. A computer check revealed the driver, 26-year-old Tyler D. Slayden was driving while suspended. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended.

On Dec. 5 at 4:25 p.m., Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 10th and Beacon. The front-seat passenger, 21-year-old Jacob J. Copeland of Sedalia, was found to be in possession of heroin, marijuana and ecstasy. Copeland was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.
