Police reports for July 12, 2016

Sedalia Police took a theft report of a break-in that occurred on Monday in the 600 block of E. 11th. A home was broken into, and $3,078 worth of tools and wedding bands were taken, the report said. There are no suspects.

Police took a theft report involving two blue children's 4-wheelers, taken from the 600 block of W. 3rd on Monday between 8 and 11 a.m.

Police took a report of a vehicle that was broken into on Monday in the 1200 block of E. 14th. A passenger window was busted, causing $100 of damage. A metal bat and wallet was left on the ground next to the car, both of which were collected for evidence. There are no suspects.

Police took a report of a theft from a garage in the 600 block of E. 11th on Monday. A total of $991 in items were taken. There are no suspects.

Barry B. Cooper, 37, Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Appear upon arrest or summons Monday night at 7th and Kentucky. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $90.50 bond and a court date of Aug. 17.

A mail carrier was bitten by a dog in the 1500 block of W. 20th on June 30, causing 3-4 lacerations on her hand. The owner of the dog said the animal was current on its rabies vaccination, which was later confirmed by the vet. The dog has been quarantined at home.
Police took a report of a U-Haul striking two mailboxes in the 2700 block of Clarendon on Saturday night, then leaving the area.

A representative of the Sedalia Youth Football League filed a report with police on Monday after an audit showed money was missing from the account. There is a suspect in the case.

Police recovered a found bike from the 1100 block of W. 9th on Monday. The pink and black Mongoose with 16-inch wheels was placed in the evidence shed.
