Sedalia Police Crime Reports 7-26-16

On Tuesday, July 26, Sedalia Police arrested Maurice J. Byrd, Jr., on a Municipal warrant for Failure to Appear Upon Arrest or Summons after officers responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of S. Harding. Byrd was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash-only bond.

Natalie M. Wingerter, 29, was arrested on Friday for Making a False Report. According to the narrative, Sedalia Police Officers were involved in a pursuit on May 18. Wingerter called police shortly afterwards to report her car stolen. The suspect in the pursuit was her boyfriend. Messages discovered later between Wingerter and someone else indicate that she told them her boyfriend got her car impounded after it was involved in a pursuit the same day. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with a court date to be determined.

Police took a report of a 12-volt battery stolen from a riding lawn mower while parked in the driveway of a home in the 700 block of W. 2nd on Monday.

Police took a damage report that occurred in the 1200 block of W. Spring Saturday. Someone removed a coin-operated dryer from the laundry room of a residence and carried it outside sometime between 12 and 3 a.m. July 23.

Police took a theft report of a Union Pacific Railroad pole, taken from a truck parked in the 2500 block of Anderson Avenue sometime between 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday. There are no suspects in the case. The pole was valued at $800.
