Girl chases boyfriend with a baseball bat Tuesday morning

At 11:10 Tuesday morning city workers flagged a patrol car down, ant reported a female subject was chasing her boyfriend down the street, as she swung a baseball bat at him. The female identified as 35-year-old Crystal Vansell of Sedalia was located at Pettis and Prospect with a wooden bat, and arrested. The police report states Vansell was also found to be in possession of marijuana. At the time of the report Vansell was in the Pettis County jail pending $1063 bond on charges of assault, and possession of marijua.

Sedalia police investigate an assault in the 100 block of South Stewart

At 3:12 Tuesday morning Sedalia police responded to a disturbance in progress in the 100 block of South Stewart. Upon contact with the victim he told officers the suspect, 38-year-old Jason Jarvis had assaulted him in the street in front of his residence. The police report states the victim had obvious injuries to his face, and head area, and was treated by APSI. Jarvis was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a $531.50 bond.

Sedalia woman arrested at Wal-Mart for tresspassing

Just after 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon afternoon Sedalia police arrested 28-year-old Shawnna Akers for a tresspass violation at the Wal-Mart store. At the time of the police report Akers was in the Pettis County Jail pending a total of $2600 bond on the tresspass charge, plus two other charges.

Thieves target a local auto sales lot

At 10:30 Tuesday morning Sedalia police responded to Wes Mo Auto Sales at 3117 South Limit on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the complainant reported, that sometime overnight someone cut the fuel line on a box truck on the lot, and stole an unknown amount of fuel. There were no suspects.

Landlord suspects prior renter stole an a/c and some copper

At 2:20 Tuesday afternoon Sedalia police took a theft report from a victim in the 1000 block of West 7th. According to the owner of the property she believes the previous renter stole a window air conditioner, and some copper pipe from the house. The suspect had not been contacted at the time of the police report.
