Sedalia Police crime reports 6-12-17

Ryan N. Warden, 35, Pettis County, was arrested by Sedalia Police for Driving While Intoxicated-Prior Offender after a traffic stop on a white Chevy truck for running a stop sign and driving with expired plates at 14th and Ingram at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday. The driver was found to be intoxicated by the officer, according to the report. Warden was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. His court date is TBA.


 

Sedalia Police arrested Brett Allan Stovall, 32, Ft. Riley, Kan., after officers responded to State Fair Hotel, 3402 W. 50, on an intoxicated subject. According to the report, Stovall was “combative and trying to fight everyone.” He was taken into custody and transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center, then to the Pettis County Jail, where he was held pending sobriety.


 

Leah F. Ferolito, 32, Sedalia, was arrested after refusing to leave Fitter's, 500 S. Ohio, Saturday night around 9:53 p.m. According to the report, she was highly intoxicated. She eventually asked officers to take her to jail due to her high level of intoxication. She was indeed transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending sobriety.


 

Alvaro Blas Apoliner, 38, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated-Prior Offender, Driving While Suspended and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license after a traffic stop by Sedalia Police on a maroon Lincoln SUV for failure to use a turn signal at 10th and Osage at 12:20 a.m. Sunday. The driver was found to be intoxicated. He never had a driver's license, according to the report. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Christian Michael Robert Boone, 20, Sedalia, was issued a summons for Animals Running at Large in the 700 block of W. Main at 2:17 p.m. June 2. He now has a court date of July 5.


 

Sami Jo Luttrell, 29, Shawnee, Kan., was arrested for Driving While Suspended and also on a Johnson County warrant after a traffic stop for a headlight out at Broadway and Warrane on Friday night at 9:42 p.m. Bond was $533.50 on the Municipal warrant and $200 cash on the Johnson County misdemeanor warrant.


 

Felicia Marie Monteer, 25, Sedalia, was arrested at Lamine and Pettis on a Municipal warrant for no insurance on June 6 at 8:53 p.m. Bond was $50. Court date is June 14.


 

Kevin Wayne Schneider, 27, Pettis County, was arrested for Driving While Suspended in the 3800 block of W. Broadway Sunday night. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending the filing of state charges.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance with weapons at Woods Express, 703 W. Broadway, at 7:09 p.m. Friday evening. While in the store, an officer observed a man run into Woods Express, take a bottle of water and run out without paying. He was later identified as 24-year-old Trevor Ross Leary, Sedalia. Leary was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold for stealing.


 

Web and Sons reported a broken store window at the old Cash Saver location, 1708 E. Broadway, on Friday morning, causing $400 of damage.


 

Sedalia Police investigated a 2-car crash at 14th and Sneed at 4:56 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, Ashton Harber, 16, was the driver of a southbond 2007 Chevy CBT (owned by Julie Schmitt) that collided with a westbound 2014 Mercedes Benz 250 driven by Kami Martin of Lawrence, Kansas. Injuries in the Chevy included the driver (left elbow), a front seat passenger (face hit the windshield) and a rear seat passenger (face pain), while the driver of the Mercedes Benz was reportedly uninjured. The Chevy had moderate to extensive damage to the front end, while the Mercedes Benz has moderate to extensive damage to the rear wheel and quarter panel. Neither vehicle was towed.


 

On Friday, Shane Hill reported that between Thursday and Friday, someone entered his unlocked 2000 Ford Ranger and took a backpack containing items totaling $375 in the 2400 block of W. 2nd. There are no suspects.


 

On Sunday morning, Alicia Marie Sims, 26, Sedalia was arrested after Sedalia Police responded to a loud noise complaint at 4:08 a.m. in the 200 block of S. Stewart. Upon arrival, the officer said that several people were being loud and the homeowner refused to cooperate. Sims was arrested and later released on summons.


 

Jose De Jesus Estrella Contreras, 44, Pettis County, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a trafic stop on a maroon Mercury for expired tags at 9th and Ohio at 8:07 p.m. Sunday. Contreras now has a court date of July 19.


 

Stacey Gail Martin, 45, Clinton, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 1611 S. Limit at 2:09 p.m. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where the suspect was booked and released.


 

On Friday morning, Lindsey T. Pahlow reported that her unlocked 2000 Dodge Durango was entered in the 200 block of S. Prospect and a .45-caliber clip, 12 shotgun shells and a sub speaker, collectively valued at $200, were taken. There are no suspects.

On Friday morning, Logan C. Meier reported that someone entered his unlocked 2004 Subaru in the 2400 block of W. 2nd and caused damage to the driver's side door and rear quarter panel, according to the report. There are no suspects.


 

On Friday morning, Kevin Chastain reported that someone stole his homemade trailer, valued at $500, in the 500 block of W. 5th. According to the report, the suspect is known to the victim and the Pettis County Sheriff's Office was in possession of the trailer at the time of the report.


 

On June 7, John E. Fletcher reported that someone shot out the driver's window on his 2013 Toyota, which was parked in front of his home in the 400 block of W. 5th. There was no estimate of damage and there are no suspects in the case.


 

On June 7, Alexis M. Templeton reported the theft of her purse from her unlocked 2001 Chevy Silverado sometime between 12:30 and 8:30 a.m. June 7 in the 1200 block of W. 4th. The purse contained her wallet with her driver's license, as well as insurance and credit cards. There are no suspects.


 

Victoria Comer reported that her purse was stolen from a 2005 Toyota Prius parked in the 200 block of S. Quincy on June 7. The purse contained a small bag of coins, according to the report. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. June 6 and 8 a.m. June 7.
