Sedalia Police Crime Reports for June 12, 2017

A reported shooting led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Sedalia man on June 11.

Police were advised that a man had shot at another person in the 2100 block of S. Warren Avenue. William Cody Myers was arrested on charges including first degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and resisting arrest.

A 24-year-old man from Leeton, Missouri was arrested for shoplifting on June 10 after police were dispatched to Hibbett Sports in Sedalia. Dalton Wright is accused of trying on two Nike Air Jordan shoes and then running out of the store.

A Sedalia man was arrested on several charges on June 9 after police were dispatched to E. 5th and S. Marvin Avenue on a call of shots fired at a residence. Police say one suspect fired shots towards a residence in the 700 block of E. 5th Street while in his vehicle, and then left the area. Timothy Paul Leary was arrested for first degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and driving while suspended. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
