Sedalia Police crime reports 6-22-17

Sedalia Police arrested Glenn T. Dupree Grant, Sr., 32, Sedalia, at 11:25 p.m. on June 20 near 9th and Merriam for assault. According to the report, the victim accused the suspect of punching her in the face at 419 N. Grand. The victim had minor injuries to her face. The suspect was later located and arrested. He admitted to punching the victim. Grant was issued a municipal summons for assault and given a court date of July 19.


 

On June 21, Rayford Lee Whitney, 55, was arrested after a traffic stop near 17th and Brown for Driving While Suspended just before 4 p.m. June 21. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, pending the filing of state charges.


 

Dylan M. Seevers, 21, Green Ridge, was arrested at 600 S. Limit after Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a business there at 12:32 a.m. June 22. Seevers was wanted on a Moniteau County warrant (violation of a court order). He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $325 cash bond with a court date TBA.


 

Jennie Lee Schwermer, 34, Monsees Lake Estates, was arested for Driving While Suspended, No Proof of Insurance and Expired Plates after a traffic stop at 16th and Marvin June 21. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released with an August 9 court date.


 

Sawn A. Sims, 34, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant after he came to the Sedalia Police Department to reclaim property belonging to him, whch he did. He was then arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $93.50 bond, with a July 9 court date.


 

Federico Trevino, 44, Sedalia, was arrested for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault after Sedalia Police were called to the 1100 block of W. 3rd on an assault report. According to the report, a female claimed she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. She had minor injuries. Trevino was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of state charges.


 

On Wednesday just after noon, Sedalia Police responded to the 1400 block of E. 7th on a report of a man cutting himself. Upon arrival, he was seen in the kitchen, holding a large knife to his throat. After trying to talk to him, the man cut his throat and laid down. Aide was rendered by the officer until PCAD's arrival. He was then transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.


 

On Wednesday at 9:38 p.m., Joe Dail LeClair, 55, was arrested in the 600 block of E. 13th for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault after Sedalia Police were called to the address on a civil standby. According to the report, the caller wanted to get his van out of the backyard, but residents were threatening him. Subjects there were telling him to leave the area. His wife said he hit her several times and threw things at her. Some swelling was noted by the officer. The caller was then arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Wednesday just before midnight, police responded to 16th and New York on a property damage report. According to the report, the caller said a passenger on another vehicle threw things out of their vehicle, causing scratches to the car, causing $1,000 of damage. The suspect then sped away. There were no arrests at the time of the report.
