Sedalia Police crime reports 6-23-17

Jared T. Martinez, 34, Sedalia, was taken into custody for a 12-hour hold by Sedalia Police after officers responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of W. 3rd Street. At 11:26 p.m. Thursday. The report indicated an intoxicated man was punching walls and himself.


 

Tavares Q. Black, 37, Sedalia, was arrested at 2nd and Washington at 8:46 p.m. Thursday for Driving While Suspended out of Georgia, No Proof of Insurance, Failure to Register with the DOR, a two Pettis County warrants (larceny and parole violation). Black was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 bond, where he was booked and released.


 

Donavan Kyle Meeks, 33, Pettis County, was arrested after a traffic stop for speeding (43 in a 25 mph zone) at 24th and New York just after 8 a.m. on Thursday. Meeks was wanted on a Saline County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $500 cash or surety bond.


 

Skyler E. Henderson, 20, Sedalia, was arrested after police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of W. 5th at 1:42 a.m. Friday. Henderson was wanted for parole violation. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 bond.


 

Brittany J. Perkins, 27, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked after a traffic stop on a tan Chevy Trailblazer for no license plates near 11th and Limit at 9:39 p.m. Thursday. Perkins was taken to the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of state charges.


 

Ryan L. Hefley, homeless, was taken into custody after Sedalia Police received several 911 calls on Thursday around 10:20 p.m. regarding a partially-dressed man running around in the roadway and then curling up in a fetal position on West Broadway. Hefley now has a court date of July 19.


 

On Thursday afternoon, Cody Cox reported the theft of a black, 29-inch old-style Schwinn bicycle from the front porch, while the victim was gone to a doctor appointment. The bike was valued at $150.
