Sedalia Police crime reports 6-7-17
On Tuesday morning, Devon Stark reported the theft of $2,000 of tools from an unlocked work van while it was parked overnight in the 1600 block of S. Missouri.


Paulette Marie Puorro, 41, Sedalia, was arrested by Sedalia Police after officers responded to a hit-and-run accident at 2502 S. Wing Ave., on June 1. According to the report, a vehicle allegedly driven by Puorro struck two other vehicles in the area, then left the scene on foot, but later returned once officers arrived on scene. The driver was found to be intoxicated, the report said. Puorro was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released with a July 19 court date.


 

Meriah Minx Bartlett, 32, Sedalia, was arrested on a local warrant Tuesday afternoon in the 1300 block of S. Kentucky. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $50 bond, with a June 21 court date.


 

On Tuesday, Kendra Sanders reported several items were taken from her mailbox in the 800 block of La Grand Drive, including money grams to pay bills. The theft occurred sometime between 5:45 a.m. on June 5 and Tuesday morning.


 

Steven Wayne Steidly, II, 42, homeless, was arrested Tueaday morning in the 600 bllock of W. 4th. He was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and also wanted on a felony warrant.


 

Karie L. Berg, 47, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at 16th and Osage at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday night. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

Jessica L. Davis, 36, Sedalia, was arrested on a Benton County warrant (DWI) after Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of S. Stewart around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $500 cash bond.


 

Angela Jane Vanderpool, 40, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop for no headlights at 9:59 p.m. in the 1700 block of W. Broadway. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released pending the filing of state charges.


 

William Chet Gardner, 41, Sedalia, was arrested on a $50 Municipal bond after Sedalia Police responded to a verbal disturbance in the 200 block of S. Grand at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday. Gardner was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a June 21 court date.


 

On Monday, Rufino T. Calderon, Sedalia, reported that a tire was slashed on his vehicle sometime between 2 and 3 a.m. overnight. The victim's daughter said she heard a loud pop during that time period, the report said. Replacement of the tire was estimated at $70.
