Sedalia Police reports 3-13-18

Sedalia Police arrested 29-year-old Blake Eugene Bennett of Pettis County for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop for speed at Curry and Broadway at 5:25 a.m. Monday. Bennett was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.


 

On Monday at 5:22 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to Jiffy Stop on an intoxicated male refusing to leave the business. Upon arrival, the male exited the building and began walking away. The officer made contact with him on the east side of the building. The suspect refused to give his name and he appeared to be impaired, according to a report. He was suspected of being a minor in possession of alcohol. While attempting to handcuff him, the suspect tried to pull away. The officer grabbed him around his chest and forced him to the ground. Jacob M. Burgher, 17, Sedalia, was then handcuffed and taken to the Pettis County Jail and charged with resisting arrest.


 

On Monday afternoon, 38-year-old Summer Joy Teeter was arrested on a Municipal warrant after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop for an expired plate at Broadway and Westwood. Teeter was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash bond and an April 18 court date.


 

On Monday at 6:36 p.m., a a woman reported the theft of her front license plate from her vehicle. The plate (3TA-168) was taken at her residence in the 220 block of S. Marvin or at WalMart, she said. There are no suspects.
