Sedalia Police reports 3-16-18
On Wednesday at 8:32 p.m., Sedalia Police Officer Hesselbacher conducted a traffic stop on a white truck for displaying stolen license plates at 1320 S. Limit. According to a report, the officer briefly made contact with the driver before the suspect sped away, knocking Officer Hesselbacher to the ground. The vehicle has not yet been located.


 

On Thursday evening around 8:10, Sedalia Police responded to a report of a residential fire in the 1100. While on scene, an officer conducted a subject check and found that 31-year-old Rebecca D. Crum was wanted on a Pettis County Warrant (traffic). She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $160 cash bond.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a subject check in the 1600 block of E. Broadway on Thursday evening and found that 25-year-old Bradley A. Simons of Sedalia, was wanted on a Muncipal warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $200 cash bond. He now has an April 11 Court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 26-year-old Santiago Hernandez at 15th and Engineer at 1:56 a.m. on Friday after a traffic stop. Hernandez was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $10 cash bond.


 

On Thursday at 12:26 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Amber R. Edwards of Sedalia for assault after officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of W. Broadway on a physical disturbance. According to a report, one party left prior to the officer's arrival. The victim refused medical treatment but wanted to pursue charges. Contact with made with Edwards was located later and issued a summons with an April 18 court date. Also arrested was 49-year-old Khwaume O. Combs of Sedalia for assault.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 29-year-old Catherine A. McGlone of Stover after a traffic stop at Limit and Liberty Park Blvd., at 2:42 a.m. Friday. Se was charged with Driving While Suspended. McGlone was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at 3135 W. Broadway at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Arrested was 30-year-old Carlos E. Staten of Sedalia. He was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. Staten was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $15,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 35-year-old Rhonda Swofford after officers responded to a shoplifting complaint from Sears, 3117 W. Broadway, at 2:52 p.m. Wednesday. Swofford was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released pending the filing of formal charges for stealing (shoplifting). All merchandise taken was recovered and returned to the store.

 

Sedalia Police arrested 47-year-old Steven Ray Kimbrell of Pettis County at Probation and Parole Thursday afternoon on a St. Clair County warrant. His bond was set at $8,366.95.


 

On Thursday, an employee of Woods Express, 703 E. Broadway, turned over a counterfeit $100 bill received at the business from a young white male recently. Police reviewed video of the suspect and are currently investigating.
