SPD crime reports 3-27-17
Sedalia Police arrested Preston Jerrell Poindexter, 32, Sedalia, for 1st degree Property Damage, 1st degree Trespassing and 1st degree Peace Disturbance after officers responded to the 400 block of Buckner Court on a trespassing complaint at 4:35 a.m. Sunday. Poindexter was later located at the south McDonald's and arrested, and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

Sutherland's, 3808 S. Limit, reported that someone passed bad checks at the business on March 23. The suspect obtained gift cards by writing checks on a closed account.


 

Derek C. Giffen, 25, was issued a summons for illegally burning building materials inside the city limits on Friday morning in the 200 block of West Avenue. He now has a court date of May 10.


 

Keith L. Hayden, Sedalia, reported the theft of his motorcycle and riding boots from his garage on Saturday morning in the 2100 block of South Harrison. There are no suspects in the case.


 

Amanda Jo Brewer, 35, Sedalia, was arrested for 4th degree Domestic Assault after Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of South Grand Saturday night. The victim says the suspect slapped him in the face and ran out the back door. Brewer was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

Pablo Blas, 45, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop on a silver Jeep for failure to use turn signal at 16th and Prospect March 23. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

Teresa Rubio, 34, Sedalia, was arrested for driving without a valid license after a traffic stop on a 2006 Chevy mini-van at Broadway and Brown late Saturday night. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released. She now has a court date of May 17.


 

Carl Nunn McCallum, 48, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop on a Dodge truck for no license plate lights at 16th and Moniteau on March 23. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Timothy Shane LeMaire, 27, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked after a traffic stop at Broadway and New York just after noon Saturday. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

Amber Lynn Hill, 27, Branson, was arrested for Driving While Revoked after a traffic stop on a person riding a moped without a helmet at 24th and Grand Saturday afternoon. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released. She now has a May 10 court date. A relative took the moped home.


 

Jacob Matthew, 22, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and No Proof of Insurance after a traffic stop on a gray Ford for expired plates at 4th and Grand Friday afternoon. Matthew was taken to the Pettis County Jail. Where he was booked and released. He now has a court date of May 10.


 

Douglas Edward Ditzfeld, 56, was arrested on a Pettis County warrant (larceny) in the 300 block of East 2nd on Saturday. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

 

Jeffrey Wayne Morris, 55, homeless, was arrested on a Buchanan County warrant Saturday night in the 700 block of E. 16th. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 bond with a $500 surety. His court date was to be determined.


 

And Pettis County deputies arrested Lisa Hunt of Kansas City after she surrendered at the Pettis County Sheriff's Office on Sunday for a 2013 Contempt of Court warrant.
