A 25-year-old Sedalia man was arrested for burglary after an employee of a local business reportedly discovered him inside the business around 10 p.m. on May 18. The man allegedly used a key he had duplicated to make entry. The employee took the key and told the suspect to leave. The next, day a report was made to Sedalia Police and Samuel L. Bishop was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.

A Sedalia man who was arrested for possession of child pornography and was out on bond was re-arrested on May 19 after authorities say they found multiple videos showing the man engaged in sexual activity with a small child. Sedalia Police report four videos being found by the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force as they were reviewing electronic evidence collected on April 28 from the home of 40-year-old Christopher L. Richard. Richard was arrested for the second time on charges including statutory sodomy, child molestation, sexual misconduct involving a child and incest.

Sedalia Police are investigating the theft of a 2012 Chevy Silverado that was reported stolen from a driveway in the 700 block of W. 32nd Street. The vehicle was last seen on Friday around 3 p.m. and was noticed missing around 5:30. Keys were reportedly left inside the unlocked vehicle. The truck is described as a white crew cab, four wheel drive, short bed pickup.
