Sedalia Police crime reports 5-29-17
Sedalia Police investigated a hit & run that occurred just before 4 p.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of S. Limit. According to the report, Brooke N. Van Meeteren reported that a lime green car struck her from behind, causing $1,000 of damage, then continued south on Limit. The car was later located by a MSHP trooper in Lincoln. The victim is willing to prosecute.


 

Timothy Jerome Govero, 36, Windsor, was arrested for Driving While Revoked after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a blue Chevy Metro for stopping past the white line at 16th and Kentucky around 3:45 Saturday afternoon. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Police took a hit-and-run report from Aaron Hunton involving a yellow car that clipped the driver's mirror of his van while it was parked near 3rd street on Ohio Friday. The suspect vehicle was later located Saturday and the driver was identified. The victim is willing to prosecute, according to the report.


 

Brian James Couch, 36, Sedalia, was arrested on a Pettis County warrant for possession of marijuana on Sunday in the 700 block of E. 16th. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash bond.


 

On Sunday morning, Jeannie Keller reported the theft of at least 10 floor jacks from the crawl space of her home recently in the 2400 block of S. Quincy. The total value was estimated at $534. There have been no arrests in the case.


 

On Saturday afternoon, Charlene Coke reported the theft of a Craftsman jig saw, valued at $69.99, from her residence in the 200 block of S. Missouri. Charges are being sought against the suspect, according to the report.


 

On Saturday morning, Richard Kempf reported vehicle damage to his car while it was at a mechanic's shop in Sedalia. The damage was estimated at $2,000. There were also items taken from the car as well, according to the report.


 

Darren Alexander Morey, 21, Sedalia, was arrested Sunday afternoon on a Pettis County warrant in the 600 block of E. Broadway. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash bond.


 

Na kenda Shaune McGee, 19, Pettis County, was arrested on a Osage Beach warrant for stealing after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper lane usage at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, May 27. She was also charged with driving without a license. McGee was taken to the Pettis County Jail and booked on a $300 cash or surety bond.


 

Preston Jerrell, 32, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and Felony Resisting Arrest after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Buick for failure to signal at 10th and Grand on Saturday. According to the report, the driver fled the scene, but was later located and taken into custody. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.


 

Mark Edward Hankins, 57, Sedalia, was arrested on a parole violation at 3:03 a.m. May 12. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash bond.


 

Steven Gene Newman, 32, Sedalia, was arrested for being a parole absconder from Jefferson City just before 11 a.m. Friday. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.
