Sedalia Police  Report 11-28-16

Two people were arrested after a traffic accident at Broadway and State Fair Blvd. Just after midnight Sunday. Jeranamo Ramos Rios, 27, and Santiago R. Gonzalez Romero, 20, both of Sedalia, were transported to the Pettis County Jail, Rios was charged with driving with no valid license, while Romero was charged with interfering with Rios' arrest.

RBS Inc., reported that several items were stolen from two semis parked at the trucking business at 601 N. Park on Saturday morning. The items were taken between 1 pm on Tuesday and 1 a.m. Saturday. Estimated value of the items was $900. There are no suspects.

A man reported that his boat was struck by a hit-and-run driver sometime after midnight Saturday. A vehicle side mirror as found in the roadway in the 2500 block of W. 11th and there was damage to the underside of the boat and trailer.

Another man reported that his 2008 Chevy Suburban was struck by a hit-and-run driver sometime after 8 Saturday night in the 2300 block of Kay Avenue. There was damage to the driver's side rear passenger door, with white paint transfer. There are no suspects in the case.

Richard J. Curd, IV, reported that the left rear tire on his vehicle was slashed on Tuesday near 11th and Osage. Curd said he saw the suspect slice his tire. Efforts t by Sedalia Police to contact the suspect were unsuccessful.

Mark B. Brown, 51, Sedalia, was arrested at 32nd and Limit Saturday morning after Sedalia police stopped him for speeding.  A computer check revealed he was driving while suspended. He also had no license plates on his vehicle, which Brown said he had purchased the day before. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released.

Robert A. England, 34, Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop for speeding on Saturday. He was wanted on a Saline County misdemeanor warrant. England was then transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Jose A. Alarcon, 40, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked after police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no front license plate at 318 W. Broadway Saturday afternoon. Alarcon was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Rebecca D. Crum, 30, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop on a 1999 Chevy Malibu for expired registration Friday afternoon at Broadway and Quincy. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.

On Tuesday, Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church, 3201 Southwest Blvd., reported that someone stole the church offerings and a credit card from the church office sometime between Oct. 2  and 9.

Police took a report in the 300 block of North Grand on Friday involving the theft of a wallet from a locked vehicle. The wallet contained the victim's driver's license, Social Security Card, a debit card and $15 in cash.

Juan E. Us Pacheco, 29, Sedalia, was arrested after Sedalia Police responded to an accident at 32 and Limit Friday at 3:27 p.m. Pacheco and his passenger, Juan y Aguare, 38, were both issued a Municipal summons for open containers. They have a court date of Dec. 14.

Police took a hit-and-run report at 2923 W. Broadway on Saturday. According to the report, the complainant was backing out of a parking space when it was struck by another vehicle. The other driver stopped long enough for the complainant to get a photo, then the suspect left the scene. Officers later located the owner of the other car, who said their daughter was the driver and they called her, stating that she was in an accident. There were no charges filed.

Jacob Daniel Eaton, 18, Cole Camp, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana at Broadway and State Fair Blvd., Monday, Nov. 21. Sedalia Police assisted the Missouri Highway Patrol with the traffic stop. The marijuana was seized and Eaton was issued a Municipal summons.

Misty Marie Kindle, 38, Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Appear upon Arrest or Summons in the 900 block of Engineer Sunday afternoon. Her bond was $50. She has a court date of Dec. 7.

Marilee E. Davis, 67, Sedalia, was arrested for shoplifting at the Sedalia Wal-Mart Monday. According to the report, Davis entered the store around 5 p.m. and took several items while concealing several items. She paid for some of the items, but not the ones she allegedly concealed. Management detained her until police arrived. Estimated value of the items was set at $117.61. David was booked and released with a Dec. 21 court date.

Melvin Leon Jones, II, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at Boonville and Watson Saturday night. Officers observed Jones' vehicle failing to keep to the right side of the roadway. He was found to be suspended out of Virginia. Jones was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, pending the filing of state charges.

Susan A. Sweeney, 37, Sedalia, was arrested at the End Zone, 3129 W. Broadway for being highly intoxicated Saturday evening. She was placed in 12-hour protective custody until she became sober.

Alan T. Saxton, 28, Pettis County, was arrested for Failure to Appear Upon Arrest or Summons after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford Focus for speeding at 24th and New York. Saxton was confirmed with a Municipal warrant. He was a passenger in the vehicle. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $90.50 bond.

Daniel Gertz of Sedalia reported a hit-and-run accident that occurred at CVS Pharmacy Saturday evening just before 9 p.m. A vehicle was seen striking a parked car in the lot, then leaving. There are no suspects.

A Kyocera cell phone was found near 2nd and Grand Friday afternoon. It was placed into evidence for safekeeping.

A blue men's mountain bike was found on property at 300 N. Iron, it was reported Saturday, According to a report, a security company for the business reported a trespasser on the property about an hour before management arrived. The bike was taken to  the SPD's bike shed for safekeeping.
