Sedalia Police reports 9-13-16
Around 2:30 Sunday morning (Sept 11), Sedalia Police officers were sitting at the intersection of Jefferson Street and North Missouri Avenue. Shots were heard, coming from the 100 block of North Missouri Avenue. A large group of people were gathered in the area. Several people were contacted and stated the shots came from within a building. There were no reported injuries. One suspect was named, but he has not been located at the time of this report.

Around 7:40 Sunday evening (Sept 11), officers conducted a traffic-stop in the area of East 3rd Street and South Lafayette Avenue. The driver had a failure-to-appear warrant from Sedalia. 50-year old Aaron D. Fisher was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a $50.00, cash bond.

On Monday, Sedalia Police took another report of a counterfiet $20 bill. A customer at Crickett Wireless, 3040 W. Broadway, requested a refund for the counterfiet bill his wife received from the business, which they did. There are no suspects in the case.

And on Sept. 12, Pettis County deputies conducted a traffic stop at US 50 and Marvin. As deputies were gathering information from the driver, Joshua Canbrana of Cole Camp, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputies asked Mr. Canbrana to step out of the vehicle so they could conduct a search. As deputies were attempting to open the door, Mr. Canbrana locked the door, rolled up the window and sped away.

Deputies pursued the vehicle through Woods parking lot onto Hancock. As deputies were pursuing the vehicle, items were being tossed from it. The pursuit ended at 5th and Lamine where Mr. Canbrana was taken into custody. He was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges from the Pettis County Prosecutor, the report said.
