Sedalia Police reports 9-19-16
Angie Lynn Wirtz, 37, Warrensburg, was arrested for 1st degree burglary and 2nd degree property damage after Sedalia Police responded to a burglary report.
The caller said he found a female inside their residence stealing items when they came home on Sunday evening in the 600 block of E. 16th. Police took Wirtz into custody and transported her to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.

A Sedalia woman was injured in a two vehicle crash on Friday morning around 11:20. Nancy Pummill was the driver of an eastbound 1993 Buick Regal at Main and Limit when she told police she looked down to answer her new cell phone and crossed the center line, striking the rear trailer wheels of a westbound 2007 Freightliner driven by Tracy L. Gamber of Stover. Gamber said he saw the Buck cross the line and began to merge into the right lane, but was struck anyway. Pummill complained of head, neck, rib, ankle and elbow injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by the Pettis County Ambulance District. Gamber had no injuries, but his trailer had extensive damage. Don's Truck towing helped attach the rear tandum to the trailer. The Buick had extensive front-end damage and was towed from the scene by State Fair Towing.

Elizabeth A. Esser, 25, Sedalia, was arrested on an assault charge after Sedalia Police reponded to a physical disturbance in the roadway in the 2300 block of Dennis Road. On Sunday afternoon. Esser openly admitted to officers that she assaulted the victim. She has a court date of Oct. 5.

April Danielle Peterson, 26, was arrested Sept. 13 at Broadway and Montgomery after a traffic stop. She was charged with Driving While Suspended, and after a consent to search, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released. Peterson was once again arrested Sunday morning at Broadway and Wagner after a traffic stop for speeding and transported to the Pettis County Jail for Driving While Suspended.

Donnie L. Friend, Lincoln, was arrested for Driving While Suspended or Revoked, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Dangerous Non-narcotic Drugs after Sedalia Police responded to a report of a vehicle theft in progress. The officer saw the suspect kneeling and messing with the front driver's side tire, and the car was partially jacked up, with a lug wrench still on the tire. The officer said he told Friend “stay right there,” but the suspect continued to hide his hands and turn away from the officer. That's when Friend was placed in handcuffs. A syringe and a bag of what appeared to be meth was later found in his pocket. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail. A female who accompanied Friend was not involved in the incident, the report said.

Christopher Wayne Hickey, 43, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant during a civil standby in the 1600 block of W. 13th Sunday morning. Hickey's bond was $90.50. He has a court date of Oct. 19.

Kourtney G. Tucker, 22, Houston, Texas, was arrested on a Failure to Appear-Misdemeanor after a traffic stop for running a stop sign at 24th and Ingram on Friday night. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $130.50 bond and a court date to be announced.

Julie L. Davis, 46, Sedalia, was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault after police responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center ER. She is accused of striking the victim in the head with an ash tray in the 500 block of E. 14th Sept. 15. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

James E. Hieronymus, 76, Sedalia, was arrested fir Driving While Revoked and also on a Municipal warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $50 bond and an Oct. 5 court date.

Haydee Pintor, 36, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant Sunday after Sedalia Police responded to a verbal disturbance in the 200 block of W. 6th. Her bond was $50.

Kevin Dean Gaither, 22, Sedalia, was arrested for animal abuse (malnurished dog) on Friday. Animal Control removed the dog from the residence in the 1000 block of E. 12th. Gaither now has a court date of Oct. 5.

Lisa M. Jones, 30, Sedalia, was arrested on a Clay County warrant after she was located in the 600 block of E. 11th. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Sara Beth Shireman, 36, was arrested for DWI-Prior Offender, Driving While Suspended and 1st degree Child Endangerment after a traffic stop Sunday night in the 1600 block of W. 13th. Shireman had a juvenile passenger in the car when she was stopped, the report said.
