Sedalia Police arrested Aaron Tummons, 40, Sedalia, at 1:22 a.m. Wednesday after officers responded to an assault call in the 400 block of Wilkerson. According to a report, the victim said she saw the suspect assaulting someone and she tried to stop him. The suspect then shut a door on her arm and tried to hit her with a wrench. The suspect was later located, arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault. Tummons was then taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


Sedalia Police arrested Christian Anthony Crutchfield, 17, at 3:19 a.m. Wednesday after officers were called to the 3100 block of W. Broadway on suspicious activity. Crutchfield was wanted on two Marshall warrants. A subsequent search revealed marijuana, meth and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


Sedalia Police arrested Brittnie Nicole Beauchamp, 23, Sedalia, Tuesday afternoon in the 1400 block of W. 3rd and charged with stealing $420 from a victim's purse, according to a police report. The victim provided the SPD with video of the theft. Beauchamp was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


Sedalia Police arrested Terrell Lydal Peck, 38, Sedalia, Tuesday night for open container after a traffic stop was conducted on a maroon Ford for no license plates. Peck was a passenger in the vehicle. He was issued a Municipal summons with a court date of Oct. 18.


Sedalia Police arrested Jeffrey Allen Buchanan, 30, at 16th and New York at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday for speeding in a school zone. Buchanan was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


On Tuesday, Tyler Eggert reported the theft of his bluetooth speaker, valued at $100, from his room at Comfort Inn, 3600 W. Broadway.
