Officers were dispatched to 12th and Wagner on September 15 to assist Sedalia Fire and the Pettis County Ambulance District who were conducting CPR on a man who was not breathing. Officers on the scene gathered information that the man might have used methamphetamine before becoming unresponsive. The man was taken by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center, where they were able to get a pulse. The man was flown to Columbia for further treatment.


On September 15 Sedalia Police were dispatched to the intersection of S. Summit Ave. and E. 6th St. in reference to an injury accident. A caller told police that the driver of the vehicle was passed out behind the wheel and had hit a parked car. Upon arrival, officers woke the driver, 32-year-old Heather D. Borgstadt, and she was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by the Pettis County Ambulance District. While the driver as at the hospital, officers conducted a DWI investigation.


Sedalia Police arrested two men on various charges after reportedly finding methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop. According to a police report, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a Pontiac for disobeying a stop sign at S. New York Ave. and E. 9th Street around 6:48 p.m. on September 16. The officer said he also recognized the driver, who had a suspended driver’s license. The plate on the Pontiac reportedly checked to a Chevrolet. During the traffic stop, police say they confirmed the driver had a suspended driver’s license and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and also had two active Pettis County warrants. Police say a passenger was found to be in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. 25-year-old Ahmad Jamal Dupree and 22-year-old Zachary Joe Fox ,Jr., both of Sedalia, were taken to the Pettis County Jail on various charges.


Sedalia Police were called to a convenience store on W. 16th Street for a subject check on September 15, which led to the arrest of a 39-year-old woman on numerous charges. Police say they had to shake the woman who was asleep in a vehicle. A police report says that a pipe and marijuana were observed in the driver’s side door. A bundle of small baggies and container of methamphetamine were reportedly found during a search of the vehicle. 39-year-old Julie Robin Herbert Garver was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Charges for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to distribute are being submitted to the prosecutor.


A maroon GMC with no license plates was stopped by Sedalia Police around 8 p.m. on September 16, and both the driver and a passenger were arrested on multiple drug-related charges. Police say the stop took place near the intersection of S. Limit Ave. and W. 16th Street. The Sedalia Police Department’s K9 unit was deployed, and alerted to the odor of narcotics, according to a police report. A search then led to the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug packaging materials and drug paraphernalia. 34-year-old Travis J. Robertson and 33-year-old Tawnya Meyer, both of Branson, were arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
