Sedalia Police crime reports 8-25-17
On Wednesday, Krystle R. Lindeman reported a hit-and-run that occurred on the Save-A-Lot parking lot, 3040 W. Broadway. Around 11:30 a.m. According to the report, the incident caused moderate damage to the passenger side of her vehicle. There is no suspect information in the case.


 

On Monday, Melissa Cordona reported that tires were slashed on two vehicles overnight in the 3300 block of S. Stewart. Suspect information was provided to Sedalia Police.


 

On Monday, Morgan R. Hawkins reported that someone spray painted her vehicle overnight, and one tire was flattened, in the 900 block of W. 4th.


 

On Sunday, Dmitriy Ostarkov reported that someone broke a rear window on his 2008 Dodge van, causing $350 of damage, while it was parked in the 1000 block of E. 14th. The damage occurred sometime between Aug. 11 and 20.


 

On Sunday, Dollar Genreal, 619 N. Ohio, reported that a person entered the store empty handed, but “returned” two packages of cookies, using a receipt from another Dollar General. Witnesses said the suspect grabbed the cookies in the store and used them to get “return” money.


 

On Wednesday, Donald F. Bradley reported that he left his cell phone inside a business at 1722 W. Broadway, but when he returned, the phone was gone. The phone was valedu at $130. There is one suspect in the case.


 

On Wednesday, Mary A. Nichols reported a burglary at her home in the 500 block of W. Broadway that occurred Aug. 3-4. According to the report, Nichols was at home at the time the suspect broke glass in two doors, then unlocked the door and entered the residence. The suspect allegedly stole $1,200.


 

On Monday, Reynaldo C. Talavera reported a hit-and-run at Katy Park. According to the report, Talavera was walking around the park when, according to a witness, a gold minivan slowed to a near stop in front of the van, then sped away. There is no suspect information in the case.


 

On Thursday, Nicholaus R. Wagenkhecht reported that someone stole the carburetor from his truck in the 700 block of E. 11th. The carburetor was valued at $400.


 

Shamikka Marie Rice, 26, Sedlaia, was arrested at 3rd and Warrane on a Muncipal warrant and a Pettis County warrant on Wednesday morning. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $90.50 bond for the Sedalia warrant, and on a $250 bond for the Pettis County warrant.


 

Kevin Henry Lee, 30, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant after he approached officers conducting an investigation at Broadway and Air Center Circle at 7:55 p.m. Sunday night. A computer check revealed the warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $50 bond and a Sept. 20 court date.


 

Sean Christopher King, 24, Sedalia, was issued a summons for open container after a traffic stop at 16th and Warren at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday. A field sobriety test was conducted and the driver was cleared for driving, but was issued a summons for the open container of beer in the car's center console.


 

Gary Lee Barnett, Jr., 42, Sedalia, was arrested and charged with 4th Degree Domestic Assault after an incident at 500 S. Ohio on Wednesday night. According to the report, the suspect punched the victim in the eye. The suspect was later located, arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
