On Sunday morning, Sedalia Police arrested Gary L. Barnett, Jr., Sedalia, at Centennial Park after after police received a call of a man riding a scooter on the walking trail. A computer check revealed Barnett was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $50,000 cash or surety bond. He now has a Sept. 12 court date.


 

Christopher L. Carpenter, 48, Pettis County, was arrested on a Johnson County warrant in the 1800 block of W. 3rd on Saturday afternoon. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $200 cash bond. He now has a Sept. 26 court date.


 

Cody L. Jennings, 33, Sedalia, was arrested late Saturday night on a felony warrant for non-support in the 2500 block of S. Grand. Jennings was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $16,897.90 bond.


 

Shaelyn F. Manning, 18, Sedalia, was arrested Aug. 24 for 3rd Degree Assault at New Haven, in the 1900 block of S. Ingram, after police were called on a disturbance Thursday night. According to the report, two residents were fighting upstairs, throwing dresser drawers and other items down to the lower level. The victim complained that a dresser drawer hit her on the right wrist. Manning was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Denis Y. Grigoryev, 27, Sedalia, was arrested for forgery and shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway, just after 8 p.m. Aug. 23. According to the report, the suspect stole numerous items valued at $257.45 and also replaced a price tag with one significantly cheaper. Grigoryev was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of state charges.


Tiffany Ann Ditzfeld, 31, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop on a Chevy at Broadway and Kentucky on Aug. 24. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

Ruben L. Gonzalez, Sedalia, was arrested at 16th and Vermont, just before 9 p.m. Aug. 26 for DWI-persistent offender, and Driving While Suspended after Sedalia Police responded to a motor vehicle crash. The driver (Gonzalez) was found to be intoxicated and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Igor I. Sarioglo, 30, La Monte, was arrested at 32nd and Limit at 12:10 p.m. Saturday. He was charged with Driving While Revoked and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Sunday just after 1:30 p.m. Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway, reported a disturbance involving a person who attempted to return an electronic device and was denied. The suspect then yelled and cursed at the employee, knocking over a container of change for needy children. The suspect then ran out of the store. The suspect has been identified and charges are being sought for peace disturbance.


 

Jennifer R. Arndt, 44, Sedalia, was arrested on a warrant (3rd Degree Domestic Assault) at 11:40 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of E. 3rd. Arndt was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond.


 

Cory L. Riley, 39, Jefferson, was arrested after a traffic stop at Broadway and Warren just before 7 p.m. Saturday. Riley was wanted on a Cole County warrant for fraud and was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $500 cash bond.


 

Sherrell A. Peck, 36, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant on Aug. 25 and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $50 cash bond. She has a court date of Oct. 11.


 

Willie Ray Waddell, 49, Otterville, was arrested by Sedalia Police at 2:05 a.m. Saturday at 32nd and Kentucky for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, improper lane usage and DWI-prior offender, after a traffic stop on a white 1999 Chevy Suburban. The driver (Waddell) was found to be intoxicated, but refused to give a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained and executed, according to the report. Waddell was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Casey's General Store, 3500 W. 16th, reported a gas drive-off involving a small blonde woman driving an older Chevy Cavalier on Aug. 24 just before 5 p.m. According to the report, the suspect pumped $25.40 of fuel, then left without paying.


 

Casey's General Store, 1601 E. Broadway, reported a $35 gas drive-off on Aug. 27 at 3:02 p.m. involving a white male in his 30s who came inside, bought other items, but didn't pay for the fuel. The suspect has been identified, but not yet located, according to the report.


 

Casey's General Store, 3050 S. Limit, reported that a suspect in a black Jeep Cherokee pumped $10.01 of fuel, then left without paying at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 25. The complainant provided some suspect info to police.


 

BreakTime, 808 E. Broadway, reported that a fight broke out between four males inside the store at 5:47 p.m. Aug. 27. The fight caused four cases of beer, valued at $71.31, to be broken.


Woods Supermarket, 701 E. Broadway, reported at 8:28 p.m. on Aug. 26 that a male concealed a bottle of alcohol, valued at $10.39, and left the store without paying.


 

Woods Supermarket reported on Aug. 27 that someone concealed four items, valued at $9.76, under their clothing and left the store without paying. The suspect was not located.


 

Sedalia Police made contact with a shoplifter leaving Woods Supermarket, 701 E. Broadway on Aug. 27 at 4:27 p.m. with a bottle of E & J Brandy.


 

On Aug,. 26, American Auto Rental, 2101 S. Limit, reported that a suspect failed to return a vehicle valued at $6,500, to the business.


 

On Aug. 26, Emily J. Edwards reported that a tire, valued at $75, on her vehicle had been punctured. There are no suspects.


 

On Aug. 27 at 3:02 a.m., Charles R. Bennett reported the theft of his gold 1993 Ford F-150 pickup from his driveway in the 300 block of E. 26th. And at 3:55 a.m., a Pettis County deputy recovered the truck near Marshall and McVey. The truck was then returned to the owner.


 

On Aug. 24, George A. Hill reported the theft of his black and green Huffy 26-inch Nighthawk bike from the 400 block of Buckner Court.
