SPD crime reports

Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report from Tint & Wrap, 3200 E. 12th, on Monday involving a vehicle that apparently ran off the road and collided with a boat parked at the business. The incident occurred between Jan. 14 and 16. Leads were developed in the case, including the type of vehicle which struck the boat.

Shelby Brooke Perkins reported on Monday that someone stole a license plate off her 2001 Oldsmobile. Perkins said she didn't know exactly when the theft occurred and there are no suspects.

Police took a report just after midnight Wednesday from two victims who said someone stole two XBox One gaming consoles and two XBox controllers from an apartment in the 1000 block of S. State Fair Blvd. The estimated value of loss was $980. There are no suspects.

A two-car crash resulted in damage to vehicles, but no injuries Jan. 11 at 5:55 p.m. at 32nd and Clinton Road. According to the report, a white 2001 Dodge R25, driven by 18-year-old Blake Banner of Hughesville, had stopped at the intersection, waiting to turn right onto 32nd, when he allegedly pulled into the path of a westbound 2013 Chrysler TNC driven by Judith Goff of Sedalia. The Dodge had minor damage to the bumper, while the Chrysler had moderate damage to the rear passenger side.

Virginia Perkins reported that her purse was stolen while shopping at Wal-Greens, 801 S. Limit, on Dec. 14. According to the report, Perkins accidentally set her purse down and left the aisle. The purse was later located with several items missing. Store surveillance video showed the suspect, who was identified. Contact was then made with the suspect. Some items were returned. Stealing charges were being sought.
