Sedalia Police crime reports 7-19-17

Cory A. Reiley, 27, Sedalia, was arrested after Sedalia Police responded to Casey's, 1601 E. Broadway, on a theft in progress at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday (July 18). Reiley was was found with a 20-ounce Dr. Pepper in his back pocket, but a further search revealed a pistol in his waist band and also several pills. He was charged with Unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and shoplifting. Reiley was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

And on Monday, Christopher S. Jackson of Sedalia reported he was scammed out of $2,199.52 over the Internet. According to the report, Jackson was hired to speak with customers on a website. The suspect then sent him a check to deposit. He then sent the suspect $2,199.52 in money orders. The check later bounced and Jackson ended up with a negative balance in his bank account. There are no suspects named in the report.


 

Gary Alan McKinsey, Jr., 17, was arrested after a traffic stop on a blue VW for driving the wrong way on Massachusetts at 1:21 a.m. Wednesday. During the stop, the officer noticed an odor or marijuana. McKinsey was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He now has a Sept. 16 court date.


 

Tyrell G. Hardy, 31, Osage Beach, was arrested on a parole violation as well as possession of meth and drug paraphernalia Wednesday at 12:48 a.m. at 3129 W. Broadway. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Tuesday, Payton Camirand reporetd the theft of his license plate while his car was parked near 16th and Ingram sometime between Satuday and Tuesday. There are no suspects.


 

Ahmad Jamal Dupreee, 25, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at Break Time, 808 W. Broadway, for improper registration and an improper stop at a stop sign at 1:27 a.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Stephen Andrew Bartlett, 32, Sedalia, was arrested for an open container of alcohol after a trafic stop for no license plate light at 12:36 a.m. Wednesday. A consent to search revealed the alcohol. Bartlett was issued a Municipal summons.


 

Judith Leigh Denney, 50, homeless, was arrested for Public Peace Disturbance and Failure to Obey after Sedalia Police were called to Break Time, 318 W. Broadway, around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, on a theft report. Management asked for the suspect to be issued a trespass warning. According to the report, Denney was yelling at a worker and using foul language. She was told by the officer to stop yelling, but continued. She was then arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with an Aug. 16 court date.


 

Christina Marie Langley, 45, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop on a tan Plymouth at 20th and Harrison at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday. Langley was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a Sept. 6 court date.


 

On Tuesday, Jade A. Buckner reported the theft of his 1990 blue Ford Fiesta (with no license plates) from the 500 block of W. 16th. There are no suspects.


 

Julie Gayle Pierson, 46, Sedalia, was charged with trespassing after Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of E. 5th on Monday. Pierson was found to have an active trespass warning for the residence. She issued a Municipal summons and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $533.50 bond and an Aug. 16 court date.


 

Angela Lee Barney, 39, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant (traffic) at 13th and Osage Tuesday evening after a traffic stop. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $129.50 bond. She now has an Aug. 16 court date. Joshua W. Harrison, 44, was also arrested for Driving While Suspended. He also has an Aug. 16 court date.


 

On Tuesday, Jeffrey Ulmer reported that someone spray-painted the driver's side of his two vehicles over night in the 1000 block of W. 7th, causing $220 of damage.


 

Erica Lynn McGaugh, 40, Sedalia, was issued a Muncipal summons for Animals Running at Large in the 600 block of Wilkerson on July 14. She now has an Aug. 16 court date.


 

Chad Marcum, 21, Sedalia, was arrested on Sedalia and Saline County warrants at 12th and Washington Tuesday morning.
