On Tuesday, Amanda Jean Biggs reported that her residence was broken into sometimes between April 1 and July 4 in the 500 block of W. 4th. Sedalia Police searched the residence before the victim entered the home. A window on the southwest corner of the house was discovered broken some time ago. The victim will make a list of missing items, the report said.


Thomas Duane Averback, 65, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop on a gold Chrysler van at 16th and Ohio Tuesday morning. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


Dollar General, 619 N. Ohio, reported a stolen cell phone, valued at $44, from the story on June 25. Management supplied police with a description of the suspect. There have been no arrests made at the time of the report.


Casey's General Store, 716 W. 16th, reported the theft of an 18-pack of Bud Light from the store on Wednesday. The suspect is described a a 6'3” male, blue jeans, with a gray shirt and dark hair with a touch of gray.


Casey's General Store, 3050 S. Limit, reported a $13 gas drive-off on Monday. Contact was made with the mother of the registered owner, who said that the car had been parked since the day before, and that the owner has been deployed for months.


And on Wednesday, July 5, Pettis County deputies arrested Shay Alexander Cunningham on a Pettis County warrant. Cunningham was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $2,500 cash or surety bond.
