Sedalia Police reports 10-12-17

Sedalia Police arrested Julie G. Pierson, 46, after officers responded to a trespassing complaint at 808 E. Broadway at 9:51 a.m. Wednesday. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash bond. She now has a Nov. 1 court date.


 

Timothy Davis, 41, Sedalia, was arrested after Sedalia Police received a call of someone attempting to enter vehicles in the 1100 block of W. 16th Wednesday afternoon. Contact was made with the suspect, who was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $500 cash bond.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance call at 12 a.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of S. Washington. Dispatch confirmed that one of the subjects, Jessie Nathan Abney, 36, was wanted on two Saline County warrants and was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $300 cash bond. He was booked and released on the possession charge. Abney now has a Nov. 28 court date in Saline County.


On Tuesday at 3 a.m., Sedalia Police were called to the 2200 block of W. Main on a person sitting in a car outside a business and the owner wanted themn to leave. The subject, 30-year-old Abone Resaundra Madden of Knob Noster, was found to be intoxicated. Madden was wanted on four Failure to Appear warrants and one DWI-Prior Offender. She was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Her bond amounts were $950 cash and $150 cash or surety.


 

Justin Keith Lewis, 28, Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop on a Mazda for improper lane use at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday at 12th and Ohio. The driver had an active felony no-bond parole violation for assault, according to a report. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Kenneth Alan Smith, 57, Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop at Main and Kentucky at 2:28 a.m. Wednesday. He was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. Smith was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $50,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Tara Michelle Karkiewicz, 34, Sedalia, was arrested for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault after Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of E. 24th at 1:42 a.m. Wednesday. According to a report, the suspect hit him in the face, She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

Jose A. Villafana, 30, Sedalia, was arrested on a probation violation out of Pettis County Wednesday morning. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance at Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 E. 14th at 7:04 a.m. Wednesday. According to a report, two staff members were trying to physically restrain a patient when they were assaulted. Charges are being submitted to the Pettis County prosecutor for review.


 

On Wednesday morning, a caller said they found a small baggie of marijuana on a sidewalk hear her apartment in the 200 block of Scott Joplin. The marijuana was collected to be destroyed, according to a report.


 

On Wednesday afternoon, Tammy Ballew of Sedalia reported that her Child Support Card was used by a known male at several Sedalia locations while she was in jail. A total of $100 of purchases were made, according to a report. The male suspect has not yet been located.


 

Aaron's, 1200 S. Limit, reported that someone signed a rental agreement with them in May for an XBox One S, valued at $759.99, then quit making payments. The business has not heard from the suspect since July 1.
