Sedalia Police crime reports 8-31-18

Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report from a man who says a vehicle that attempted to cross Broadway at Moniteau, struck his 2017 Chevy, then left the scene. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. Wednesday. The Chevy had moderate damage to the front driver's side. The suspect has not yet been identified.


 

On Aug. 24, a woman reported that between 9 p.m. Aug. 23 and 7 p.m. Aug. 24, someone entered her 2012 Chevy Equinox and stole several items totaling $1,200 in value in the 800 block of Manor Court. Several other vehicles on the same street were also entered, according to the report.


 

American Auto Rental, 2101 S. Limit, reported that a blue 2014 Dodge Avenger that was supposed to be returned to the business Aug. 18 has not been seen since it was taken by a subject. Numerous attempts to contact the subject by phone were unsuccessful and the vehicle is now listed as stolen.


 

Sedalia Police took a report from a man on Thursday who said someone entered his unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of E. 13th and took a 9 mm handgun. The theft occurred between 6 and 8 p.m. Aug. 30.
