Two Sedalia suspects arrested Tuesday morning on multiple charges

At 5:39 Tuesday morning a Sedalia Police Press Release states the sting unit along with other law enforcement officers served a search warrant at 1411 South Sneed. The press release said drugs were found in plain sight, and the occupants were arrested, and transported to the Pettis County jail on 24 hour hold pending formal charges. The release also states three children in the home were placed with family members. 33-year-old Darrick Brown and 29-year-old Shannon Walters of the residence face multiple drug related charges, plus three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Brown’s bond is set at $250,000 and Walters at $15,000.

 

Suspects sought in a case of financial exploitation involving an elderly man

On Monday, Sedalia police investigated a case of financial exploitation involving an elderly Sedalia man. According to the victim, and a State of Missouri Case Worker subjects known to the victim encumbered property belonging to him. An investigation is continuing in the case.

 

Shoplifter arrested after fighting with store personnel at Wal-Mart

At 1:11 Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia police responded to WalMart on a report of a shoplifter fighting with asset protection personnel at the store. Upon arrival the police were told the suspect, Robert Peck of Sedalia had damaged two laptop computers while he was attempting to remove them from a secure display. Peck was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24 hour hold pending 2nd degree burglary and property damage charges. Peck also had $5000 in bonds on three warrants out of Lee’s Summit. A female with Peck, 21-year-old Heather Reed of Sedalia was booked and released pending charges.

 

Two-suspects arrested at Wal-Mart Tuesday afternoon on stealing charges

Around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia Police investigated a report of stealing at the WalMart store. Upon arrival officers arrested 28-year-old Alicia Smith and 44-year-old James Smith of Marshall. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending $531.50 each on charges of stealing. James Smith also had a $150 cash only bond on a municipal warrant.

 

Lamont man arrested at WalMart for stealing

At 8:35 Tuesday night, Sedalia police arrested 21-year-old Zachary Palmer of Lamont at the WalMart store. At the time of the police report, Palmer was listed as homeless. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

 

Follow-up nets suspect Tuesday morning

Tuesday morning Sedalia police conducted a follow-up to a prior event in the 500 block of North Osage. Upon arrival officers made contact with the suspect 54-year-old James Smith. At the time of the police report Smith was in the Pettis County jail pending a $5000 bond on a charge of 2nd degree domestic assault.

 

Church reports the theft of a laptop computer Tuesday

Tuesday afternoon a complainant at the Amigo de Christo Church reported the theft of a laptop computer from the church. Value of the computer was set at $450. There is information on a possible suspect.
