Sedalia Police Crime Reports: Morning of April 26, 2013

The following Sedalia Police reports come from the morning of Friday, April 26, 2013.

Sedalia Police STING Unit Serves Search Warrant

Yesterday (April 25), the Sedalia Police Department STING Unit and other officers served a search warrant at 1322 East 7th. There were four adults and two children in the home when the STING Unit found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and illegal prescription pills. 39-year-old Jason Sash was arrested for three counts of being in possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. 34-year-old, Michael Shepard, was arrested for having a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $50,000.

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 2500 Block of Margaret reported to Sedalia Police that $4650 worth of jewelry was stolen between 5 p.m. on April 23 and 12:30 p.m. on April 24.

A woman in the 2000 Block of South Washington reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole two laptops between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on April 25.

A woman in the 1200 Block of East 5th reported to Sedalia Police that a television valued at $450 was stolen from her home.

OATS Transportation in the 100 Block of West Pacific reported to Sedalia Police that one of the buses was damaged by a rock thrown at the vehicle between 5 p.m. on April 24 and 6 a.m. on April 25.

A woman in the 900 Block of East 5th reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke an exterior window and broke into the home and cut two plastic water lines.

Sedalia Police Investigate Abuse and Assault Cases

Sedalia Police is investigating a reported case of child abuse that occurred in the 800 Block of Westwood Drive.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that he was assaulted by another male subject in the 1300 Block of South Ohio. The man was transported to the Warrensburg Emergency Room for medical treatment.

A red West Coast Choppers brand bicycle was found in poor condition in the 600 Block of East 10th. Sedalia Police took the bike to the bike shed.

Sedalia Police arrested Charles Billingsley for driving while suspended.
