The following police reports are from the morning of Feb. 13, 2013.

Sedalia couple arrested on failure to appear warrants

At 10:45 Tuesday night, Sedalia police responded to a residence in the 2500 block of West Margaret for a warrant check. Upon arrival, officers contacted 27-year-old Shawna Cochran and 27-year-old Justin Cochran. Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending $1500 bond for failure to appear on charges of violation of education regulation for a child.

Traffic stop results in arrest for two Sedalia people

At 10:45 Tuesday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 16th and Marvin for traffic violations. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, the officer reported the strong odor of marijuana. Following an investigation, 30-year-old Deanna Medina and 20-year-old Marco Pimentel of Sedalia were arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending multiple charges.

Sedalia police investigate a dog bite Tuesday afternoon

At 12:46 Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia police responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center on a reported dog bite. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, a 39-year-old female. According to the victim, a dog came up behind her at 7th and Washington, bit her on the right hip and ran away. The dog had not been located at the time of the police report.

Thieves target a woman’s vehicle Monday night

At 1:17 Tuesday morning, Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a female victim. According to the complainant, someone entered her vehicle the night before and stole her purse, a wallet containing $463 and various forms of identification and credit devices. There were no suspects at news time.

Two suspects steal money from a woman in the 100 block of West 14th

Around 9:20 Tuesday morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to the 100 block of West 14th on a theft complaint. According to the victim, two suspects entered her home and stole $600. The identity of the thieves is known according to the police report.

Hot water heater stolen from a rental house in the 600 block of North Osage

Just before 10:00 Tuesday morning, a victim in the 600 block of North Osage filed a theft complaint with the Sedalia police. According to the complainant, someone entered the rental property and stole his hot water heater. There were no suspects.
