Sedalia man has a $500,000 bond on active warrants for drug related charges

Around 8 p.m. on Friday, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at East Saline and Engineer. Upon contact with the suspect, 64-year-old Jack Wilson, warrants on drug related charges were confirmed. Wilson was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $500,000 bond at the time of the police report .

Warrant Check Sunday results in arrest for a 25-year-old man

At 10:29 Sunday morning, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 300 block of West 3rd. Upon contact with the suspect, 25-year-old Johnathan Loper of the residence, a warrant for 3rd degree domestic assault was confirmed. Loper was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $2500 bond.

Intoxicated man arrested for resisting arrest Saturday afternoon

Just before 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to Coach’s Bar at 303 South Lamine on an intoxicated man who was attempting to drive away in his vehicle. Witnesses said the man became belligerent when they tried to stop him. The police report states that the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Marc Brewington of Augustus, Kansas, kicked at the arresting officer after he was handcuffed. Brewington was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a charge of resisting arrest put into and protective custody. At the time of the police report, he was in Pettis County jail pending a $533.50.

Warsaw man arrested Sunday morning for driving while suspended

At 2:43 Sunday morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 5th and Lamine for expired registration. A subsequent check on the driver, 44-year-old Lee Richard of Warsaw, revealed he was a suspended driver and had an outstanding warrant with a $1500 bond. Bond on the driving charge is an additional $533.50.

42-year-old Sedalia woman arrested following a traffic stop

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction just after 7 p.m. on Sunday in the area of 3rd and Engineer. A check through dispatch revealed the driver, 42-year-old Leandra Casdorph of Sedalia, had two active warrants out of Pettis County. Casdorph was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending $1250 bond.

19-year-old Sedalia man arrested early Sunday morning for underage drinking

Around 1:45 Sunday morning, Sedalia Police responded to Coach’s Bar at 303 South Lamine on an underage drinker inside the bar. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 19-year-old Jeremy Lewis of Sedalia, who reportedly gave them identification belonging to another person. Lewis was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released pending charges of identity theft.

Housing Authority Laundromat at 522 East Saline vandalized

On Friday morning, Sedalia Police received a property damage complaint. According to the complainant, someone damaged a window and some washing machines in the laundromat of the Sedalia Housing Authority located at 522 East Saline. There was no damage estimate or suspect information at the time of the police report.

The Break Time Convenience Stores located at 808 East Broadway and 318 West Broadway reported gas drive offs of just over $20 each over the weekend. There were no suspects at news time.
