Bates City man arrested at the County Line Wednesday on a warrant

On Wednesday, the Sedalia police were dispatched to the Pettis/Benton County line to pick up 24-year-old Andrew Wheaton of Bates City, who was found to have an active Sedalia Municipal warrant. Bates was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $150 bond.

Theft of jeans reported at the Bothwell Hospital Pharmacy

At 12:44 Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia police took a theft complaint from an employee of the Bothwell Hospital Pharmacy. According to the female victim, someone stole her jeans valued at $100 from the employee’s changing room. The victim told officers the changing room is accessible only to pharmacy employees. There was no information on a suspect in the police report.

Sedalia woman reports the driver’s side tires on her vehicle were flattened

Around 10:00 Wednesday morning, a female victim in the 800 block of East 11th reported the driver’s side tires on her vehicle were flattened and possibly slashed. There was no damage estimate in the police report and no information on possible suspects.

Window air conditioner stolen from a residence on East 17th

At 3:00 Wednesday afternoon, the Sedalia police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 600 block of East 17th. The victim said he was away from the house Monday night and Tuesday, and when he returned Wednesday afternoon, he found his Frigidaire 5000 window air-condition unit had been stolen. The victim was able to provide the police with the name of a possible suspect.

Vandals target a vehicle in the 500 block of West 5th

On Sunday night, a female victim in the 500 block of West 5th filed a property damage complaint with the Sedalia police department. According to the victim, she heard a loud noise outside, and when she investigated, she found that two windows of her vehicle were broken out. There were no suspects at news time and an estimate of the damage had not been made at the time of the police report.
