The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports are from the morning of Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

Sedalia Police Investigate Several Thefts

A woman in the 900 Block of West Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that someone forcefully took her purse while walking near the alley near South Grand and West 7th on July 19 between 10:00 and 10:20 p.m. The woman also received a small injury to her waist during the incident.

A man in the 1600 Block of Heck Avenue reported to Sedalia Police that a set of two wedding rings valued at $3,705.70 was stolen from his home between July 5 and 19.

A woman from Warrensburg reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole her debit card in Johnson County and used it in Sedalia on July 20.

A woman in the 400 Block of East 26th reported to Sedalia Police that a set of keys, two boxes of checks and prescription medicine were stolen from her home on May 22. The same woman found that two of her checks were forged at Walmart on May 23. In addition, she reported that someone stole some clothing and jewelry from her on July 20.

A man and woman reported to Sedalia Police that there was a possible identity theft and forgery case. A suspect is believed to have forged a man's signature on a lease agreement with Rac-Jac Properties sometime since April 1.

A woman in the 1300 Block of South Osage reported to Sedalia Police that her purse was stolen between 6 p.m. on July 4 and 10 a.m. on July 5.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a license plate from her car parked at State Fair Community College on July 22.

A man in the 1700 Block of Heck Ave. reported to Sedalia Police that someone hit his parked on July 22 between midnight and 12:30 a.m.

Sedalia Police Make Several Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Shane Mundy for having several warrants out Sedalia, bond set at $125 cash, Pettis County warrants totaling $1,500 cash/surety and $20 cash; and a Benton County warrant, bond set at $100 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Randall Perry for a failure to appear warrant, bond set at $88.50 and a Polk County warrant, bond set at $50.

Sedalia Police arrested Shandy Burrows for a Benton County failure to appear warrant for a traffic violation, bond set at $150 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Dianna Barber and Clayton Eckler for driving while suspended.
