Young Child Found running on Highway 50 Unsupervised

Yesterday morning, Sedalia Police on patrol in the 1500 Block of East Broadway saw a 3-year-old open the door of a home, run out into Highway 50 and then back onto the side of the roadway. Sedalia Police made contact with the family and the child was released to them. A hotline call was made to the child abuse hotline to report the incident to them.

Sedalia Police Investigate Theft at Walmart

Asset Protection Officers at Walmart reported to Sedalia Police that someone left without paying $500.57 in merchandise last night. The items were recovered, but the suspect fled on foot.

Sedalia Police investigated a reported case of excessive noise in the 2300 Block of Lewis yesterday.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Patrick Barkwell for failure to appear, bond set at $10,00 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested William Allen for driving while suspended. A passenger in the vehicle, Mary Allen, started to yell and Sedalia Police tried to quiet her. She failed to obey the officer and started walking along a roadway when a sidewalk was present. She was informed to walk on the sidewalk and did not listen. Mary Allen was charged with two failure to obey/resisting arrest and pedestrian walking along a roadway when a sidewalk was available, bond set at $1,276.

Sedalia Police arrested Rebecca Bell for two probation violations, bond set at $9,000.

Sedalia Police arrested Alexandria Bates for driving while suspended and failure to appear upon arrest or summons, bond set at $88.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Jeffrey Miller for a parole violation, possession of marijuana and possession of synthetic narcotics.

Sedalia Police arrested Carolyn Thomlinson for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50.
