Here are your Sedalia Police crime reports for September 18, 2012.

 

24-year-old Sedalia man arrested on an active warrant Saturday night

At 9:32 Saturday night, Sedalia police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Main and Pacific for running without headlights. Upon contact with the driver, 24-year-old Brent Spellmeyer of Sedalia, he was found to have an active Pettis County Warrant for failure to appear. Spellmeyer was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending $2500 bond.

 

Traffic stop results in arrest for a 19-year-old Sedalia woman

At 7:11 Friday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Hancock with an occupant in the back seat yelling obscenities at other vehicles.  A check on the occupants of the vehicle revealed one of them, 19-year-old Danielle Ketcher of Sedalia, had an active warrant for failure to appear. Ketcher was in the Pettis County jail pending  a $2500 bond at the time of the police report.

 

Motorcycle rider arrested during a traffic stop Saturday night

Just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday, Sedalia police conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle for improper lane use. The driver, 23-year-old Joshua Kateman of Green Ridge, was found to have warrants for failure to appear and a probation violation. Kateman was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a total bond of $1704.20.

 

Local body shop burglarized overnight

Just after midnight Monday morning, Sedalia police responded to Quality Body Shop at 501 North Park on a burglary alarm call. Upon arrival officers found the front door had suffered approximately $800 in damages. The police report also states thieves stole a laptop computer valued at around $1000. There were no suspects at the time of the report.

 

Jewelry is stolen from a woman in the 500 block of East 11th

A woman in the 500 block of East 11th reported her front door was damaged Friday morning when thieves forced it open in order to gain entry to her home and took $2400 worth of jewelry. There was no information on possible suspects.

 

33-year-old Becky Taylor of Sedalia was arrested on a city warrant Sunday night bond was set at $88.50 cash only.

Breaktime at 318 West Broadway reports a 17 to 20-year-old white male stole a 30-pack of Natural Lite Sunday afternoon.
