Several Cases of Identity Theft and Forgery Reported

A man reported to Sedalia Police that his identity was used to open another account with KCP&L. The victim was charged $436.41 to his account for the debt.

A business owner in the 1600 Block of Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that someone forged a check to his business by signing his name and that the suspect kept the money.

An employee of Orscheln reported to Sedalia Police that two forged checks were used at the store, yesterday (Sept. 15).

A woman reported to Sedalia Police yesterday (Sept. 15), that someone she knew had passed two bad checks, one for $125 and the other for $200.

An employee of Breaktime, at 808 East Broadway, reported there was a $34.08 gas drive off yesterday (Sept. 15).

Two Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Robert Franken for domestic assault in the 3rd.

Sedalia Police arrested Edward Newbill for driving while suspended.
