Here are your Sedalia Police crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol reports for the afternoon of October 9, 2012.

 

Police looking for a suspect on several charges on a Monday night incident

Around 11 o’clock Monday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 5th and Lafayette for failure to signal a turn. The police report states that as the officer approached the vehicle, the driver accelerated away from the area at a high rate of speed. The vehicle, a black Chevy Monte Carlo, was found later, where it had ran into a fence, damaging a yard ornament and a small yard bush. At the time of the police report, the driver had not been located, but state charges were applied.

 

Items stolen from a vehicle reported overnight this (Tuesday) morning

At 7:45 this morning ,the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office reported thefts from a motor vehicle in the 400 block of West 36th Street. There are no suspects at news time.

 

Henry County Accident injures a Calhoun woman

At 12:20 this morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 52 East of 601 Road in Henry County. The accident occurred as the driver of a 2002 Pontiac, 35-year-old Julie Wilson of Calhoun, lost control of her vehicle, traveled off the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. Wilson received moderate injuries and was transported to Golden Valley Hospital by EMS for treatment.

 

Two-vehicle accident reported Monday morning in Henry County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident in Henry County at 9:24 a.m. on Monday. The accident happened as the driver of a 2004 Ford, 54-year-old William Lawler of Clinton, was attempting to cross Missouri Highway 7 from a private driveway just East of Northeast 681 and pulled into the path of the 1999 Mecury driven by 58-year-old Sandra Palmer of Deepwater. Palmer received minor injuries in the accident and was taken to Golden Valley Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The accident report states charges are pending.

 

Johnson County accident Monday injures a 65-year-old Liberty man

Just before noon on Monday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident that occurred on Missouri Highway 13, just South of Northwest 435 Road in Johnson County. According to the accident report, the driver of a 2007 Toyota, 65-year-old Keith Oberkrom of Liberty, swerved to avoid a vehicle, traveled off the roadway and struck a parked trailer unit. Oberkrom reportedly received minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
