Around 11:00 in the evening Tuesday (June 14), Sedalia Police officers conducted a vehicle check in the area of West 32nd Street and South Limit. The truck was unoccupied but had hazard lights on. The driver and passenger showed up, a short time later. They stated the truck had run out of gas. After further investigation, both men were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and distribution. 21-year old Jacob Levi Lopez, and 19-year old Joshua Tyler Friedly were taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold, pending formal charges.

 

Around 7:20 Thursday night (June 16), officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 16th Street and South Warren Avenue, for a driver who had a suspended license from the state of Texas and no operator status in Missouri. 47-year old Joe Fernandez Jr. was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

 

Also on Thursday, officers took a report of a theft in the 2200 block of West 5th Street. A 2004 Yamaha Zuma Scooter, valued at $2,000.00, had been taken. There are no suspects at this time.

 

Sedalia Police officers conducted a subject-check in the 400 block of West 4th Street on Thursday, June 14. The man was sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle. Officers ran the man's information through dispatch and it came back that the subject had 2 active warrants and suspended license. 36-year old Jonathan D. Hannah was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

 

Around 8:00 in the morning on Friday (June 17), Sedalia Police officers took a report of theft. A representative from The Sedalia Girls Softball League stated that someone had allegedly withdrawn $30,000. - $40,000. from the League's bank account. There were no further details listed in that report.

 

Just before 7:30 Friday night (June 17), officers arrested 37-year old Becky L. Taylor, of Smithton, on two active Pettis County warrants. Total bond was set at $5,000.00, cash or surety.
