On Tuesday (Aug 29), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Saline Street to investigate a domestic assault. Through the investigation it was revealed that the suspect, 32-year old Glen Tyler Dupree Grant Sr., had injured the victim during a fight. Grant Sr. was arrested and placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail. A charge of 2nd Degree Domestic Assault is being sought.


Around 3:30 Wednesday morning (Aug 30), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of S. Carr Ave for a possible disturbance. According to the report, a woman was located walking down the street. She was reportedly intoxicated and claimed to have been assaulted by her boyfriend. The report indicates the woman, 28-year old Danielle C. McKean, did not have any injuries and refused medical treatment. Officers located the man at the residence; he was reportedly intoxicated and claimed there was an argument but it had not turned physical. McKean was placed on a protective custody at the Pettis County Jail.


Just after 6:00 Tuesday evening (Aug 29), Sedalia Police responded to Rub-A-Dub car wash, located at 810 E. Broadway, in reference to a possible disturbance. According to the report, charges are not being pursued for the disturbance. However, one of the men at the business, 45-year old Douglas L. Johnson, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Johnson was placed on a twenty-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail.


On Monday (Aug 28), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of S. New York Ave, for a report of property damage. The victim told officers that someone damaged her windshield. The damage was estimated at $200. There were not further details listed in that report.
