On March 22nd, around 5:45 in the evening, Sedalia Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East 7th Street and South Massachusettes Avenue. Contact was made with the driver and his information was relayed to dispatch. Dispatch then confirmed that 33-year old Michael M. Brunting had two felony warrants from Jackson County. The first warrant was for resisting arrest with a $25,000.00 bond and the second warrant was for a forgery charge, with a bond of $4,900.00. Brunting was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a Sedalia Municpal warrant, as well, for driving while suspended. Bond on that warrant was placed at $533.50.

 

Around 4:00 in the afternoon on March 22nd, officers took a report of a theft in the 1600 block of West 5th Street. The victim stated she had her car worked on, at the residence, and someone had taken her car battery, valued at $140.00. No further details were listed in that police report.
