Just before 1:00 Tuesday morning (Mar 28), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Stacey Lane for a report of multiple individuals stealing from vehicles. Three juveniles and one adult were arrested in connection to multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles. According to the report, officers learned from one of the suspects, that they had entered approximately 40-50 unlocked vehicles in various neighborhoods in the southwestern portion of Sedalia and some areas outside the city. The report also indicates that some stolen property was recovered. The suspects names were not released in the report, but Sedalia Police say that numerous victims were still being identified, and the investigation is ongoing.


Just before 12:00 noon Tuesday (Mar 28), Sedalia Police were on routine patrol in the 1000 block of West 3rd Street, when officers noticed a disturbance between two men. The victim stated that the other man pulled out 2 guns and pointed them at the victim's chest. Prior to officers arrival, the suspect allegedly threatened to kill the victim. According to the report, the suspect's van was searched and 2 pistols were recovered. The suspect, 22-year-old Brandon D. Hollis, of Independence, MO, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, for 2nd Degree Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Armed Criminal Action.


Around 9:00 Tuesday morning (Mar 28), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near Industrial Drive and Main Street, for a vehicle with no plates. The driver's information was checked through dispatch and it was discovered that he had a revoked license and FTA warrant from Benton County. The driver, 38-year-old Noah J. Mitchell, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $750.


According to a report from the SPD, on Monday (Mar 27), Sedalia Police checked on a vehicle in the 600 block of East 18th Street, that had been parked in front of a residence for an extended amount of time. Officers made contact with a man inside the vehicle, and it was discovered that he had a FTA warrant from Sedalia. The man, identified as 34-year-old Travis Dewayne Christian was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $100.


On Monday (Mar 27), Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 800 block of East 7th Street. Someone had allegedly stolen a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 6 from the victim's vehicle, sometime overnight. A suspect has not been identified at this time.
