Around 8:15 yesterday morning (May 10th), Sedalia Police officers noticed a car parked at a residence in the 1500 block of West Main Street. Police officers knew the car belonged to 25-year old Andrea Nicole Johnson, of Warsaw. She had an active felony warrant from Benton County. Officers made contact with Johnson and confirmed the warrant. She was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, with no bond.

Yesterday (May 10th), officers noticed a suspect sitting on a curb in the 300 block of West Broadway. The man was known to have a warrant for his arrest. Dispatch confirmed the two Pettis County failure-to-appear warrants and the police arrested 44-year old Byron Lee Rhoads. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a $500.00, cash only bond.

Around 6:00 in the evening on Monday (May 9th), officers responded to Kohls department store, located at 4300 Wisconsin Avenue, in reference to a theft. The suspect had run from the store. However, video camera footage revealed who the suspect was and officers located him a short time later. 40-year old Gary Lee Barnett Jr., of Sweet Springs, was arrested on charges of shoplifting and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

On Sunday afternoon around 12:00 (May 8th), officers responded to the 1400 block of South Harrison Avenue for a follow-up. The suspect had an active Pettis County warrant. Arrested at the scene was 19-year old Jose Luis Romero Jr. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond set at $2,500.00, cash or surety.

Around 3:00 in the morning on Tuesday (May 10th), Sedalia Police officers conducted a traffic stop at South Vermont and West 18th Street. An investigation revealed the driver was in possession of drugs. 28-year old Holly N. Jett was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and the intent to distribute, along with various other drug charges. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
