On Monday evening, around 6:00 (May 16th), Sedalia Police officers responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of East 5th Street. The victim stated that a relative had come to the house and was asking for money. The relative then starting yelling and screaming. The victim had a full order of protection against the suspect. The suspect left the house but was later located during a traffic-stop. 19-year old Austin Michael Dotson was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending action by the prosecutor’s office.

 

Around 1:30 in the afternoon yesterday (May 17th), officers responded to the 100 block of Harding Avenue on a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officers noticed a vehicle parked illegally. The suspect was located and dispatch confirmed the man had an active warrant from Pettis County. He was also in possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Arrested at the scene was 26-year old Raymond Edward Bailey and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending formal charges.
