On Sunday (Oct 1), Sedalia Police observed a man in the area of W. 6th Street and S. Moniteau Ave, who was known to have a Pettis County warrant. A computer check confirmed the felony probation violation warrant (original charge of stealing) for 33-year old Demetrius Damon Chambers. A search reportedly revealed marijuana, as well. Chambers was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $1,068.


On Sunday (Oct 1), Sedalia Police observed two people in the backyard of a property in the 400 N. Mill Ave. According to the police report, the people were not know to live there. Police say the two subject were loading wood into a vehicle. Officers made contact with the subjects and a computer check revealed a Pettis County warrant for one of the suspects. Police arrested 29-year old Jeremy L. Edgar and transported him to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $171.50, on the warrant.


On Saturday (Sept 30), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the the area of 28th Street and Washington Ave. for a reported assault. According to police report, the suspect bit the victim on the arm. The suspect, 36-year old Angie Marie Steeves, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault.


On Saturday (Sept 30), Sedalia Police were called to the 100 block of Summer Ave, for a reported burglary and theft. The victim told officers that she had been storing items at a vacant residence for several months. According to the police report, she last saw the items on September 12. Then on Saturday, she reported the items had been removed from the property. The total value of the items taken, was placed at more than $9,000. There are no suspects at this time and no further details were listed in the report.


On Friday (Sept 29), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 600 block of S. Grand Ave, for a reported disturbance. The victim said the suspect had assaulted her. Officers arrested the suspect, 44-year old Ruben Lee Gonzales, and transported him to the Pettis County Jail for 2nd Degree Domestic Assault.
