Sedalia Police arrested London S. McCannon-Cornell, 23, Sedalia, for shoplifting at Khols, 4300 Wisconsin at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday.. The suspect admitted to stealing a total of $117.17 in merchandise. McCannon-Cornell was issued a court summons for stealing for Nov. 9.

 

Kimberly S. McNeil, 42, Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Appear Upon Arrest or Summons, and for Possession of Dangerous, Non-Narcotic Drugs, after a traffic stop for expired plates at 17th and Brown at 10:25 Wednesday. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $90.50 cash bond and a Nov. 9 court date.

 

Aaron's Rental, 1200 S. Limit, reported two cases to Sedalia Police of rental property that was not returned and not paid for. One involved a 55-inch Smart TV, valued at $2,576.04, in the 400 block of E. 14th, and the other involved a TV and TV stand, valued at $2,938.80. The account holders stopped making payments and Aaron's was unable to contact them. SPD is investigating.

 

Police took a report of a stolen “laser transit,” valued at $1,000, taken from a truck at a residence in the 1700 block of S. Harrison between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday.

 

Police took a report on Wednesday in the 400 block of E. 5th. Someone forced entry into the residence and took items valued at $2,450. There is a potential suspect in the case.

 

Police took a report on Wednesday involving an abandoned vehicle that was found in the backyard of a residence in the 500 block of E. Walnut. The vehicle was reported stolen from the Kansas City area on Tuesday. KCPD was notified, and the vehicle was towed away by Don's. There are no suspects in the case.

 

And the Pettis County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies arrested Kenneth McGee, Sr., for an active Failure to Appear on a traffic charge warrant, on Wednesday.
