Sedalia Police officers conducted a traffic stop around 1:40 Friday morning (Dec 9), in the area of 12th Street and Marshall Avenue, for a vehicle with defective plate lights. Officers made contact with the driver, who did not have his I.D. on him. The driver provided some information, but that information did not match a computer check. The driver was eventually identified as a subject who was suspended and had multiple warrants. According to the report, the driver took off running but he was caught a short time later. 46-year old Paul C. Williams Sr was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges for driving while suspended, resisting arrest, and identity theft. He also had a Cooper County warrant with a bond of $50,000, a no-bond warrant from St. Louis County, and a Sedalia warrant with a bond of $90.50.

 

Around 11:20 Thursday night (Dec 8), officers responded to the 400 block of East 6th Street, for a 911 call. As officers’ arrived, the female caller left on foot. Contact was made with the residents. There had been an argument. Their information was run through dispatch, and a warrant was confirmed for one of them. 33-year old Thomas Arthur Martinez was arrested for a no-bond FTA warrant from Morgan County, on an original charge of failing to register as a sex offender. Martinez was taken to the Pettis County Jail. There were no other details listed in that report.
