Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Grand Ave on Saturday (June 24), for a warrant check. The caller said the suspect was in the backyard. Police made contact with the suspect, 33-year old James Robert Campbell. Two warrants were confirmed for Campbell. One warrant was from Saline County for failure to appear, with a bond of $15,000. The other warrant was from Pettis County for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender, with no bond. Campbell was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


On Saturday (June 24), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near South Limit and Country Club Blvd. According to the report, the driver had a suspended license. The driver, 24-year old Jordan Leigh Kemper, was arrested and placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges.


Saturday morning (June 24), Sedalia Police responded to Hardees, at 1400 S. Limit, for a trespassing report. According to the report, an employee asked the man to leave, but the male suspect became argumentative. Officers arrested the man, 38-year old Ryan L. Hefley. He was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail.


On Saturday (June 24), Sedalia Police took a report of a theft in the 1400 block of South Kentucky Ave. The victim said her glasses were stolen from her vehicle sometime overnight Thursday. According to the report, the victim told officers that she noticed the driver's side door on the vehicle was cracked open. The glasses are described Dolce and Gabbana brand, with a navy blue frame. The glasses are valued between $800 - $1,000.


Around 5:30 Sunday evening (June 25), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of East Broadway for a theft report. A truck bed tool box and a propane tank were allegedly stolen from the victim's backyard. The items were valued at approximately $250. There are no suspects at this time.
