On Monday (Mar 27), Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 700 block of East 17th Street. The victim reported that a purple and gold Baja-style mini bike had been taken from the front yard sometime overnight. The bike is valued at $400. There were no further details listed in that report.


Sedalia Police responded to the 1300 block of East 18th Street on Monday (Mar 27), in reference to a theft. According to the report, a 20'' Kent Trouble BMX bike was taken from the front porch sometime overnight. The bike is described as pink and purple in color. There were no further details listed in that report.


On Monday (Mar 27), Sedalia Police took a theft report at America's Car Mart, located at 3303 South Limit Avenue. Reported missing, was a TKO key-cutting tool. The tool had allegedly been taken sometime between June 2016 - October 2016. The TKO key-cutting tool is valued at $5,500.


On Sunday (Mar 26), Sedalia Police took a report of a theft that had allegedly occurred at Fitters, located at 500 South Ohio Avenue. According to the report, someone had stolen the victim's wallet, which contained ID cards, credit cards, and diamond rings valued at $4,000. The incident is still under investigation.


Around 4:15 Sunday morning (Mar 26), Sedalia Police responded to the 1600 block of South Limit Avenue, in regards to a report of a traffic complaint. According to the report, the caller stated that the suspect, almost struck her vehicle and ran a red light. The suspect was located and determined to be intoxicated. The suspect, 32-year-old Preston J. Poindexter was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending a charge of DWI.
