A 21-year-old Lincoln woman was arrested on charges including distribution and possession of narcotics in the 400 block of S. Vermont Ave. around 3 a.m. on August 10. A report from Sedalia Police says officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in the area and made contact with a person who was asleep in the driver's seat. Police say Bryanna Lynn Collins was in possession of controlled prescriptions which she was selling. Collins was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


Police responded around 10:42 a.m. on August 10 to a towing business in the 4700 block of S. Limit Avenue to execute a narcotics-related search warrant on a vehicle secured in the facility. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed cocaine. Police say a suspect is known and state charges are being requested.


Sedalia officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of E. 24th St. at 5:53 p.m. on August 10 for a death investigation. Upon arrival, the body of 55-year-old William M. Hall of Sedalia was found in a wooded area south of E. 24th. An investigation determined that Hall's death was not of a suspicious nature and was the result of a medical event. Contact was made with Hall's next of kin and all personal belongings were transported to their residence.


Police stopped a blue Nissan near S. Harrison Ave. and Magnolia St. on August 9 and arrested a Hughesville man on multiple charges. A Sedalia police report says that an officer knew that the man, identified as 40-year-old Ryan Keith Clark, had suspended driving privileges and an active Pettis County warrant when he was seen driving in Sedalia. Clark was ordered to exit his vehicle after a traffic stop, and while being handcuffed, he allegedly began pulling away. Clark was eventually placed in handcuffs and during search he reportedly admitted to possessing drug paraphernalia. Police say the paraphernalia contained methamphetamine. Clark was arrested on charges including 3rd degree assault, resisting/interfering with an arrest, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, a warrant arrest and driving while suspended. Clark was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges.


A Sedalia man is accused of breaking the windshield of a vehicle near 16th and State Fair with a flag pole. Police were called just before 11 p.m. on August 9 and took a report of an intoxicated man walking in the middle of the roadway who had broken the windshield. Police arrested 23-year-old Oscar Guadolupe Espinoza Valadez and transported him to the Pettis County Jail.
