According to a Sedalia Police Department Press release at 5:27 Thursday morning Detectives, Patrol Officers, and the K9 Unit with the Sedalia Police Department executed a no-knock drug-related search warrant at 314 East 13th. The press release stated the officers forced entry through the back door of the residence, and found one person inside, who was detained without incident.

The K9 Unit was deployed inside the residence and the K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics in various locations in the home. A search revealed a large quantity of marijuana according to the press release, which included multiple baggies of marijuana with a combined weight of approximately 3 and1/4 pounds. Officers discovered low and high grade marijuana, and marijuana hash, along with drug packaging supplies and materials.  An investigation also revealed marijuana was being distributed by the suspect who lived in the residence.

The press release states there was over $3000 in cash found in the residence, which was seized as profit from drug sales. Also seized was the suspects 2006 Mitsubishi which was reportedly used to deliver drugs throughout Sedalia. The residence was found to be about 875 feet from Smith Cotton Junior High School, and about 200 feet from the Katy Trail State Park.

Arrested at the scene was 30-year-old Jason B. Viebrock of Sedalia. At the time of the press release Viebrock was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending charges of :

Distribution of marijuana within 2000 feet of a school
Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia

In an update from the Sedalia Police Department bond has been set on the charges at $500,000.
